Case Study: Mall of America

When Mall of America was under construction in Bloomington, Minnesota, there were a lot of questions about the structure, how it would impact existing shopping malls and downtown Minneapolis. As a team, our goal was to open the curtain and give media a hardhat view of Mall of America. We also wanted to help grow the number of tenants by providing a regular newsletter highlighting new tenants, internal events and news and profiles. As we had so much news coming out of Mall of America and wanted to help support our tenants and their public relations efforts, we developed a news express for media. The mall opened with more than 270 tenants (with about 130 coming in soon after), record crowds and a positive community feel that carried over for years.
